Baseball Recap: Tecumseh Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Tecumseh, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Corydon Central Panthers 4-3.

On the hitting side, Braydon Long was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Tecumseh: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-16-1 otherwise.

Tecumseh is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-16-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Corydon Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Coming up, Tecumseh will face off against Evansville Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Corydon Central, they will square off against Charlestown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
