Volleyball Recap: Marina Pimentel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcfarland over Kennedy

McFarland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Kennedy Thunderbirds. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Thunderbirds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

McFarland's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marina Pimentel, who had 14 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Leslie Rodriguez, who had 18 digs.

McFarland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22-1. As for Kennedy, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11-2.

McFarland has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Delano on the 25th. As for Kennedy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Shafter on the 25th.
