Football Recap: Mansfield Senior Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mansfield Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the New Philadelphia Quakers at home by a 45-26 margin. The Tygers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Quakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Kolston Fox had a dynamite game For New Philadelphia., rushing for 96 yards and one TD on only eight carries, while also picking up 46 receiving yards. Those 96 rushing yards gave Fox a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Rieger, who threw for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Mansfield Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for New Philadelphia, their record now sits at 2-3.

Looking ahead, Mansfield Senior will venture away from home to square off against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tygers will need to watch out since the Minutemen have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for New Philadelphia, they will be playing at home against The Linsly School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Quakers will be up against the Cadets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
