Softball Recap: Green Canyon's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

Green Canyon took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Mountain Crest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Green Canyon Wolves had just enough and edged out the Mountain Crest Mustangs 15-14. The Wolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Bailey Taylor was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Mika Schwartz was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Green Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Green Canyon's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Mountain Crest, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.
