San Marin had won three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped their record up to 11-5 to make it four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the San Rafael Bulldogs. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

As for San Rafael, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since March 18, 2024.

For San Rafael's part, Thomara Drummer was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out seven batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Drummer has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
