Basketball Recap: Rancho Verde Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Rancho Verde won the last time they faced Arlington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rancho Verde Mustangs came out on top against the Arlington Lions by a score of 71-64. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Lions are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rancho Verde is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Arlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Rancho Verde is taking a road trip to face off against Rancho Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
