Softball Recap: Hattiesburg Wins Going Away Against East Marion

Hattiesburg made up a huge gap compared to their last game against East Marion, but still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Hattiesburg Tigers' way against the East Marion Eagles on Tuesday as the Hattiesburg Tigers made off with a 21-3 win. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 7-0 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2018.

Hattiesburg got a massive performance out of Keke Trotter, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Chloee Parhm, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Hattiesburg now has a winning record of 2-1.

The future could be bright for both Hattiesburg and East Marion: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Hattiesburg will try to hand Tylertown their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, East Marion will look to extend Amite County's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
