Recap: Diboll Lumberjacks vs. Little River Academy Bumblebees
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Diboll Lumberjacks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 39-28 to Little River Academy on Friday. Diboll's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Leading Little River Academy to victory were Cavalli Nealy and Kasey Mraz. Nealy rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, while Mraz rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Mraz was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
Diboll's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Little River Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Diboll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Little River Academy will square off against Franklin at TBD on Friday. Franklin is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
