West Ottawa entered their tilt with Rockford on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 7-1 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly six runs.

Collin Roelofs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Knapp, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Chase Gerlach, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

West Ottawa's win bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Rockford, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

West Ottawa will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair will be back at it again later today.
