Baseball Recap: Shabazz Comes Up Short

If Shabazz was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of East Orange Campus on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Academy Minutemen on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Minutemen recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Shabazz's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Newark Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Shabazz will venture away from home to take on Manchester Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newark Academy, they will head out to challenge The Pingry School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
