Volleyball Recap: Julian Comes Up Short

Julian and Preuss UCSD squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Julian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Preuss UCSD Tritons, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

While Julian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Hailey Bennett and Aryana Relaford, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Cami Siraton and her four assists. Lucia Barrios controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

With the loss, Julian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-11. As for Preuss UCSD, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.

As of now, neither Julian nor Preuss UCSD have any future games scheduled.
