Basketball Recap: Mercy Piles Up the Points Against Arbor Prep

Mercy lost to Arbor Prep back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mercy Marlins breezed past the Arbor Prep Gators to the tune of 57-26. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Mercy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Arbor Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Mercy and Arbor Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Mercy (ranked 36th) will meet South Lyon East (ranked 239th) at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. Similarly, Arbor Prep will face off against Canton Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 344 places (246 vs. 590).
