Basketball Recap: Collinsville Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Collinsville won the last time they faced Edison and things went their way on Friday too. The Collinsville Cardinals came out on top against the Edison Eagles by a score of 48-40. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Eagles are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Collinsville back to even at 5-5. As for Edison, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Collinsville beat Edison by a score of 48-40 on Saturday.
