MaxPreps Northern California Top 25 high school basketball rankings

Woodcreek remains on top and will cap the season in Open Division state final Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

The hardware has been handed out, and medals, too, for teams that won CIF Northern California Regional Championship games. Some won by a close margin, some in overtime, some by unexpected rout. All CIF State championship games will be held this weekend at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, the new arena for the Kings that just hosted two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

Notes:
- Top-seeded Woodcreek beat No. 2 Sheldon 66-59 for the Open Division crown at Santa Clara's Leavey Center in a rematch of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I finals, also won by Woodcreek. In both games, the Timberwolves of Roseville rallied from 10 down in the fourth quarter to win it behind 6-foot-11 national recruit junior Jordan Brown and key cogs Tyrell Roberts, Jackson Hughes, Chris Cagle and a host of others.

- James Logan rallied to force overtime and held off Palo Alto 65-61 to take the Division I title at Leavey Center behind guard Ryan Parilla and center Edra Luster.



- Moreau Catholic beat Saint Francis 81-77 in overtime to win the Division II championship behind Damari Milstead's 43 points as he made a remarkable 12-of-26 field goals.

- Mission scored one for all the public schools in San Francisco with its 72-68 victory at Vanden in the Division III finals. Niamey Harris scored 23 and Jamion Wright 15 for the Bears.

- St. Patrick-St. Vincent of Vallejo beat Palma 73-48 in a Division IV title game expected to be much closer, using trademark defense.
