3A Region II District 10 recap Oct. 16, 2012
Celina extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region II District 10 this week by beating Ranchview, 52-11. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Bobcats.
Lone Star moved up to 299 from 337 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rangers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Aubrey 39-28.
The Wolves' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Keidrien Wadley threw for 81 and 28 touchdowns and Nick Burns had 40 yards receiving. On the ground Raghib Ismail chipped in 14 yards. Ismail helped Ranchview's passing attack out by catching three balls for 18 yards.
Ranchview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wadley has thrown for 660 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, while Burns has 15 catches for 208 yards. Osh-Shakkur Derrick leads the league in rushing with 376 yards.
The top two teams in 3A Region II District 10 will face off this week when first place Lone Star takes on second place Celina. Lone Star beat the Chaparrals last week, while Celina defeated Ranchview.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Terry Smith's team takes on Argyle. The Wolves' offense has scored 113 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Eagles have allowed only 79 on the year.
Bill Elliot's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Ranchview.
