Basketball Game Preview: Promise Prepatory Academy Knights vs. HALO Wolfpack

The Promise Prepatory Academy Knights will challenge the HALO Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Promise Prepatory Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering White Creek Christian Academy just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost to the Eagles on the road by a 75-58 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask HALO). They breezed by Covington Academy to the tune of 84-55 on Tuesday. With the Wolfpack ahead 45-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

HALO's win came from a few key players Promise Prepatory Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trenton Grissom, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of HALO's points. Kenneth Haynes was another key player, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 22 boards.

HALO smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

HALO is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game.
