Baseball Recap: Irvine Find Success

Irvine hadn't done well against Woodbridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Vaqueros came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The game was the first time the Vaqueros have beaten the Warriors on their field since March 18, 2022.

Hudson Hall was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Sandoval, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Irvine's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Woodbridge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 14-6 record.

Irvine will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
