Basketball Recap: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Levi Kamler and Brady Noel

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley was the 44-37 winner over Diller-Odell when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Griffin by a score of 49-46 on Tuesday.

Brady Noel and Levi Kamler certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Noel posted 14 points along with seven assists and six boards, while Kamler shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points. Kyler Koch was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Diller-Odell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Phillips, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Behrends, who earned eight points and 11 boards.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Diller-Odell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will head out on the road to face off against Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Diller-Odell, they will challenge Sterling on Friday. This will be the Griffin's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
