Lakeside snaps eight-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Lakeside Knights vs. Lake Roosevelt Raiders

After flying high against the Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars last Tuesday, the Lakeside Knights came back down to earth. Lakeside fell 77-70 to Lake Roosevelt on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Lakeside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Hendrix, who scored 24 points along with two steals. Hendrix continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Charley, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and six steals.

Lakeside's loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Lake Roosevelt, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Lakeside will head out on the road to face off against Genesis Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Roosevelt, Lake Roosevelt and Okanogan will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Okanogan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Lake Roosevelt is ranked eighth).
