St. Augustine Prep put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Millville Thunderbolts 8-2. The Hermits might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six runs or more this season.
Jack McNamee looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joe Peacock, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. William Childs also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
St. Augustine Prep's record is now 4-0. As for Millville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
