Basketball Recap: Cistercian Takes a Loss

Cistercian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Greenhill Hornets and fell 70-26. The Hawks lost against the Hornets in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-46 score last time.

Cistercian's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Greenhill, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cistercian will challenge St. Mark's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mark's will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Cistercian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenhill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Episcopal School of Dallas at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Greenhill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
