Powhatan won the last time they faced Manchester and things went their way on Thursday too. Powhatan came out on top in a nail-biter against Manchester, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Brooklyn Narbut spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits.

On the hitting side, Ava Harper was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

The win got Powhatan back to even at 2-2. As for Manchester, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Powhatan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Varina at 6:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Manchester, they will challenge Ocean Lakes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Ocean Lakes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Manchester surely won't give up without a fight.
