Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Takes a Loss

Kotzebue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Bethel Warriors 97-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-53 on Friday.

Kotzebue's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Bethel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Kotzebue will be playing in front of their home fans against Barrow on Friday. Barrow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Kotzebue likes a good challenge. Bethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
