The home team had won the previous four meetings between Tate and Niceville, and Tate kept the tradition alive. The Aggies never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Aggies: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 9-2 loss.

The result came thanks to Jordan Smith's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Mykamia Padgett was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Madison Smillie also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Tate's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Niceville, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tate will welcome West Florida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Niceville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
