Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Katie Ankrom stepped things up a notch to give Portsmouth the 'W'. Ankrom turned in nothing short of a gem, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits.

Coming up, Ankrom and Portsmouth will be taking part in a tournament against Southeastern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will enter the matchup having just beaten Paint Valley, so the Trojans will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
