Lutheran is 1-9 against Dixon since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dukes & Duchesses at 4:30 p.m. Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Lutheran came up short against Oregon and fell 8-3.

Lutheran saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Carlson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-5 to Byron. That's two games in a row now that the Dukes & Duchesses have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Dixon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Dixon's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Lutheran has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Dixon, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Lutheran keep running through batters, or will the Dukes & Duchesses buck the trend?

Everything went Lutheran's way against Dixon when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Lutheran made off with a 13-6 win. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dukes & Duchesses turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
