Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Nazareth Swifts
The Childress Bobcats's 21-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell 51-41 to Nazareth on Friday. While losing is never fun, Childress can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 667th, while Nazareth is ranked 225th).
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Journey Prince, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshlynn Roark, who scored 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Childress and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Nazareth, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Childress' road trip will continue as they head out to face Muleshoe at 3:40 p.m. on December 1st. As for Nazareth, they will be playing at home against Farwell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Farwell will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
