Softball Recap: Crestwood's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Crestwood posted their closest victory since April 16th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Valley Forge Patriots.

Kayleigh Helm was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Serena Wright, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Crestwood's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14. As for Valley Forge, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestwood will challenge St. Martin de Porres at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Valley Forge, they will square off against Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
