League recap: Heard County tops Spencer to extend winning streak

Heard County extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 5 this week by beating Spencer, 54-28. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Kendrick took down Jordan 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Temple's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Elijah McFarland has thrown for 376 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Trevor Shell has 17 catches for 245 yards. Myles Simmons leads the league in rushing with 368 yards.

Bremen and Temple played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Bremen eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory.
