Newman Central Catholic has gone a perfect 10-0 against Morrison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Comets will head out on the road to take on the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Newman Central Catholic has ten straight victories, Morrison has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Chargers are ranked 174th).

Newman Central Catholic will have to contain Brayden Rubright as he made an impact in Morrison's last game. He posted 12 points. That was a full 50% of Morrison's points, marking the fifth time in a row Rubright has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Newman Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Morrison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Newman Central Catholic strolled past Morrison when the teams last played back in January by a score of 82-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
