Softball Recap: Mid Valley Wins Going Away Against Riverside

Mid Valley never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past the Riverside Vikings 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 14 games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mackenzie Adolfson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Larson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Mid Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside only posted an OBP of .167.

Mid Valley's record now sits at 17-2-1. As for Riverside, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Mid Valley will head out on the road to face off against Honesdale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.94 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Riverside, they will be playing at home against Old Forge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
