Softball Recap: Neshoba Central Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Neshoba Central had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Grenada Chargers an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Neshoba Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Grenada, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-11.

Coming up, Neshoba Central will take on South Panola at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last 11 games. Grenada does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
