Basketball Recap: Scarborough Comes Up Short

Scarborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-6 loss at the hands of the Worthing Colts. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-1.

DeeDee Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Worthing, putting up 20 points. Williams' morning made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Disney Dominique, who posted ten points.

Scarborough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Worthing, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scarborough will venture away from home to take on Wheatley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Wheatley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups. As for Worthing, they will take on Yates at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
