Decatur Eisenhower had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a goal and slipped past the Springfield Southeast Spartans 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Decatur Eisenhower also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Springfield Southeast now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur Eisenhower will take on St. Joseph-Ogden in a tournament on September 4. As for Springfield Southeast, they will take on Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
