Football Game Preview: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Edna Cowboys + How To Watch

The Llano Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Edna Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Llano knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Edna likes a good challenge.

Llano is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Goliad with a sharp 31-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellowjackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Tigers are ranked 215th).

Llano relied on the efforts of Cole Landers, who rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and Graham Prokop, who picked up 69 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Edna waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 17-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cowboys have posted since August 30, 2024.

Llano better keep an eye on Maverick Robertson. He was instrumental in Edna's win, rushing for 88 yards and one TD.

Edna didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Ingram Moore to a completion percentage of just 32%. The Cowboys weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 50%.

Llano's record now sits at 12-1. As for Edna, their record is now 10-3.
