Basketball Game Preview: Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Cosby Titans

Richmond City School of the Arts hasn't had much luck against Cosby recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs will host the Cosby Titans at 6:30 p.m.

Richmond City School of the Arts is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 35th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were beaten by Monacan 66-15. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Chiefs are ranked 69th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cosby). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Midlothian 73-41. The victory was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Cosby pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points over those games. As for Richmond City School of the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Richmond City School of the Arts was dealt a bruising 95-15 loss at the hands of Cosby in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Richmond City School of the Arts was down 51-4.
