Basketball Recap: East Starts Season with Win Against Mckinley

East gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They took down the McKinley Red Dragons 62-45.

East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyris Davis out in front who shot 70% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Alberto Maldonado was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points and four steals.

East has already played their next matchup, a 47-33 win against Marlington on the 28th. As for McKinley, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
