Basketball Recap: Cunningham Takes a Loss

Cunningham lost against Pretty Prairie back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats were dealt a 34-4 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Pretty Prairie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayleigh Vogl, who dropped a triple-double with 11 points, 21 boards, and ten blocks. Those ten blocks gave Vogl a new career-high. Ava Goering was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cunningham fell to 2-1. As for Pretty Prairie, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Cunningham and Argonia will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pretty Prairie, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Flinthills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
