Daviess County won the last time they faced Warren East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Raiders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Sophia Cain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lilah Morris was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Callie Smith was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Daviess County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Warren East only posted a batting average of .167.

Daviess County's win bumped their record up to 27-3. As for Warren East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-16 record this season.
