Natomas beats Cordova for their second straight win

Even though The Cordova Lancers scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, the Natomas Nighthawks still came out on top. Natomas managed a 40-34 win over Cordova. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Natomas.

Natomas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Hendricks led the charge by rushing for 100 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 73 receiving yards. Hendricks was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. Za?vion Owens also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

When it comes to explaining why Cordova lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Ryce. Despite the final result, he rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. Ruvim Kravchuk was another key contributor, picking up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Natomas is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Natomas will take on Foothill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Foothill will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Cordova, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. Johnson and Cordova are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
