Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Ruston's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Ruston won the last time they faced West Monroe and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ruston Bearcats walked away with a 73-63 win over the West Monroe Rebels.

Ruston has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for West Monroe, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Ruston will be playing in front of their home fans against Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ruston is facing Pineville at the right time seeing as Pineville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for West Monroe, they will challenge Ouachita Parish at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Monroe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Ouachita Parish likes a good challenge.
