Recap: Davidson Warriors vs. Jackson Aggies
It was a good run, but The Davidson Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Jackson 45-14. The game was a close 17-14 at the break, but unfortunately for Davidson it sure didn't stay that way.
Hudson Spivey threw for 50 yards and a touchdown. Jaydrick Jowers was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Derrick jerome Butler rushed for 83 yards.
Jackson found their leader in underclassman Ezavier Crowell, who rushed for 199 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Crowell really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run. Another player making a difference was Landon Duckworth, who rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jackson, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games. Jackson is on the road again on November 10th and play against Cleburne County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Cleburne County is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
