Softball Game Preview: Sierra Canyon Trailblazers vs. Simi Valley Pioneers

The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers will venture away from home to challenge the Simi Valley Pioneers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Canyon will be strutting in after a victory while Simi Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

Sierra Canyon got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Chaminade.

Meanwhile, Simi Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Moorpark on Monday and fell 9-8.

Kylie Arellano was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Allison Hinds, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Simi Valley dropped their record down to 12-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Sierra Canyon, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
