Softball Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs vs. Kinston Vikings
Wallace-Rose Hill stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They beat the Kinston Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-0. Winning may never get old, but Wallace-Rose Hill sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Wallace-Rose Hill got a big performance out of Mattie Gavin, who went 1-for-2 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Straughn, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Wallace-Rose Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Kinston, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Wallace-Rose Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory vs. Hobbton on the 27th. As for Kinston, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Southwest Onslow at 4:30 p.m. on April 9th.
