Softball Recap: Wylie East Plays to a Tie

It was a good run, but Wylie East unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. Neither they nor the Colleyville Heritage Panthers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Isabella Flores spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

With that tie, Wylie East's record moves to 5-5-1. Meanwhile, Colleyville Heritage's record is now 2-3-1.

Wylie East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-6 win against Bell on the 27th. As for Colleyville Heritage, they have also already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Abilene on the 28th.
