After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Ridgeview, Bend was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Summit Storm as they made off with  a  16-1 win. The Lava Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six  runs or more this season.
  Lauren Glasser was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Another player making a difference was  MacKenzie Shaughnessy, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double.
Bend has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10-1 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Summit,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-16-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bend will  square off against  rival Mountain View  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Summit is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Caldera  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
