Volleyball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Takes a Loss

Coram Deo Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kilgore Bulldogs.

Despite the defeat, Coram Deo Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Carolyn Gillen had 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Gillen.

Coram Deo Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kilgore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coram Deo Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Kaufman on the 15th. As for Kilgore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Waskom on the 15th.
