Softball Preview: Velva/Drake/Anamoose Aggies vs. Horace
The Velva/Drake/Anamoose Aggies will square off against Horace at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Velva/Drake/Anamoose will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Velva/Drake/Anamoose was able to grind out a solid victory over Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], taking the game 7-3.
Meanwhile, Horace got the win against Valley City on Thursday by a conclusive 14-4. The result was nothing new for Horace, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
McKenna Mohs made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Mohs was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
