Basketball Recap: Glen Lake Lakers vs. Frankfort Panthers

Make it five blowout wins for the Glen Lake Lakers this season. They blew past Frankfort 57-30 on the road on Thursday. Given Glen Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Panthers are ranked 299th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glen Lake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Plamondon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Dylan Cundiff was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Glen Lake pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Frankfort, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glen Lake will take on the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19. As for Frankfort, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benzie Central will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
