Recap: Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs vs. King Prep Rams
The Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs were the 48-12 winner over the King Prep Rams when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Raleigh-Egypt took a 50-32 bruising from King Prep on Monday. Raleigh-Egypt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
King Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terranisha Washington-Moore, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Washington-Moore has scored at least 25% of King Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Raleigh-Egypt now has a losing record at 2-3. As for King Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Raleigh-Egypt has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Harding Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for King Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
